Four drives in the day, lunch at the château between the two sessions and the bag counted in front of the courtyard. By quote, from September to February.
Average bag: 80 to 120 head
The drives are run in the traditional French way, with lines of guns and beating with dogs. The house welcomes you in the morning, provides the flushing dogs and retrievers, and organises the bag and the friendship drink at the end of the day in front of the courtyard. Guns who wish to bring their own pointing dogs may do so, provided they say so when booking.
The bag for a day at Le Creux averages 80 to 120 head. To understand what a single block of land changes for a driven shoot, see our journal article.

The château receives groups of 8 to 16 guns per day. Below 8 guns, the drive loses its coherence on land of this kind. Above 16, the quality of the organisation begins to suffer. It is a limit we stand by.
The number of driven days per season is deliberately limited, to protect the land. On the weekend of 26 September 2026, the estate opened the season with a prestige day, the kind of event it organises from time to time.
Shotgun only, cartridges at the guns’ expense. Other conditions are on the small game shooting page.
Each day is prepared in advance: number of guns, priority species, preferred dates, accommodation or not. A first exchange is enough to draw up a precise quote. The season opens in September, and dates are booked from June.
