Six hundred hectares of woods, hedgerows and game-rich plains, a ground that has been gamekept and beaten by the same teams for three generations.
Average bag: 80 to 120 head
Château du Creux offers commercial driven days for small game (pheasant, red-legged partridge, hare and woodcock) from the September opening to the February close. Drives are run in the French tradition: lines of guns, beaters with working dogs.
The house provides hounds, retrievers, the laying-out of the bag and the friendship glass.
The bag on a day at the Creux averages 80 to 120 head of game.
