The Nicolay family received the château in 1837, not by purchase but through the marriage of Adélaïde-Hyacinthe de Fougières, Louis-Joseph’s only daughter, to the Marquis Christian de Nicolay; the Fougières had held Le Creux since the 16th century. It is the same family that still lives in the château today, which makes this suite a direct tribute to the line currently in place rather than to a closed chapter of the estate’s history.

This guest room is part of the Maison du Régisseur, which can also be taken as a whole as a group cottage for ten people. The four other rooms are presented on the guest rooms at the châteaupage, and all the accommodation under Stay.
